This spring marks three years since the launch of LIFT (Local Impact for Tomorrow), a collaborative initiative focused on improving the health and well-being of students and families in the Fallon Park Elementary and Roanoke City communities.
LIFT’s strategic efforts — rooted in increasing access to clinical and mental health care, strengthening family support and fostering academic success — have made measurable impacts:
- More than 600 clinic visits projected in 2024–2025, serving students from Fallon Park and other Roanoke City Public Schools
- 528 nonclinical supports, including 130 mental health supports
- 272 community health worker referrals, connecting families to essential services
As the program evolves, the focus remains on expanding mental health resources, enhancing academic support and deepening community partnerships.
Through their dedication and hard work, they’re LIFTing students, families and the community toward a healthier, brighter future.
