After an extensive search, the Delta View Water Association Board of Directors is pleased to announce their selection of Rachel Glauser as the organization’s first Executive Director, effective today.
Delta View Water Association (DVWA) is a nonprofit organization that was formed in 2019 to support growers in white areas of parts of Kings and Tulare counties with limited or no access to surface water. Implementation of California’s Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA) has begun, and DVWA aims to be an active part of the conversation, seeking just and equitable water solutions for its membership.
Glauser comes to the association from the governmental affairs and communications sectors, where she served various clients in the Central Valley and across California. Rooted here in the Valley, her professional background spans over 17 years. In her previous role as Director of Communications for a valley public affairs firm, Glauser primarily represented clients in the energy and water industries, serving nonprofits and publicly traded companies.
“I am grateful to the Board for selecting me as the association’s executive director,” Glauser stated. “I’m eager to get started serving the existing membership, advocating for the organization, and supporting growers. I look forward to collaborating with stakeholders and decision-makers as we seek equitable solutions for groundwater sustainability for landowners in Kings and Tulare counties.”
Board President Tony De Groot is equally pleased, noting that the future looks bright for Delta View.
“We’re thrilled to have Rachel on board. As Delta View Water Association continues to grow, it is critical to find the right executive director. Rachel’s solid leadership qualities and go-getter mentality, along with her outreach and advocacy experience, will be a great benefit to our members. Given the dramatic weather we’ve experienced in the region this year, we have a lot of work ahead of us, but we’re optimistic about the future, and Rachel will be a great fit.”
