Democrat Organization Denounced as "Anti-Cop Hate Group" Caught Fundraising Into IanResponse.org, a Dark Money Political C(4) posing as a Charity

Candidates supported by Florida Rising include:

Charlie Crist, Val Demmings, Lorranne Ausley, Janet Cruz and Janelle Perez

It took the Democrat grassroots operation "Florida Rising" just hours after Hurricane Ian made landfall in Southwest Florida to begin fundraising off of the catastrophic storm.

Florida Rising began pushing donors to ianresponse.org as early as September 29, claiming to be preparing "for the rebuilding and recovery, after #HurricaneIan."

Ianresponse.org is housed on ActBlue, which describes itself as a tech platform that "is available to Democratic candidates and committees, progressive organizations, and nonprofits that share our values..."

But a simple search through Check-A-Charity on Florida's Commissioner of Agriculture and Consumer Services Website yields no results for a charity by the name of "Florida Ian Response Fund"

Read a little further into the fine print and you'll find that the Florida Ian Response Fund is "not tax deductible" and that it is actually housed at "Organize Action," a 501(c)4 tax exempt dark money organization.

Florida Rising has endorsed Democrats up and down the ballot, including Charlie Crist, Val Demmings, Lorranne Ausley, Janet Cruz, Janelle Perez, Eunic Ortiz and Joy Goff-Marcil...

As Floridians continue to rebuild and recover, we strongly urge those who want to help to give to reputable organizations positioned to help people, not political organizations using this money "to win elections and change laws.
