Weekly Florida Redevelopment Update: July 14, 2022
NEW! LAKE WORTH INVITATION FOR BIDS
The Lake Worth CRA is seeking bids/quotes for the demolition of several sites. Some of the sites include the demolition of concrete slabs, asphalt, vegetation, fencing and structures. Asbestos abatement is also required among the sites, with the cost of the asbestos abatement included in your bid.

The successful contractor must be fully prepared to commence permitting no later than
August 31, 2022, with permits closed and work completed no later than October 15, 2022. Proposals should also reflect proof of the specified coverage. Bids are due Friday July 15, 2022 by 3pm.

NEW! APPLICATIONS FOR DOWNTOWN SPECIAL EVENTS GRANTS
Orlando’s CRA is now accepting applications for the next round of grants meant to support events in the downtown core. Downtown Orlando's Special Events encourage diversity and arts in the downtown area. Events fall under two tiers based on expected attendees. Funding varies based on the tier.

Applications are open for events taking place from November 2022-April 2023, with applications closing on August 1 at 11:59 p.m.

NEW! CRA MANAGER WANTED
City of Lakeland is looking for a CRA Manager.

The position manages the City’s designated Community Redevelopment Areas (CRAs). An individual in this position is responsible for planning, initiating, and directing programs and projects for the physical and economic improvement of the City’s CRAs, including all capital projects, marketing efforts, budgeting and committee work. 

NEW! PROJECT MANAGER WANTED
The City of Winter Haven is looking for a Project Manager.

The Project Manager will work primarily on Winter Haven's CRA projects and will manage projects through all phases, from conception to completion. The manager will be responsible for the project budget, procurement of materials and services, community engagement and communication, and progress reporting.

The application window closes tomorrow, July 15, 2022.
