Hello dear friends and clients,

I hope this finds you well and enjoying our cool and beautiful Fall weather in the Flathead Valley. I am still happily busy, although not quite as much as earlier this season. Our market continues to be a strong one; however sales have deceased slightly, down about 3.5%, which is expected in our seasonal market. For the past month there have been 18 real estate transactions in the Bigfork area with a median sale price of $323,750. 

We just found out this week that the Fed has decided not to raise interest rates (read the article). Nationally housing starts on single family homes dropped to 739,000 and  multi family units dropped to 387,000. This is not bad news though, since they are up in double digits year over year, according to news

In the Flathead Valley, we had record visitors this past summer and it is clear to me that people are moving here because it is such an amazing place to be. In addition, most of our feeder markets are still healthy.

There are many wonderful activities going coming up in Bigfork and the Flathead Valley (click for the calendar). I hope you will take part in the fun and that we'll see each other at these events. Toward the end of September, the Festival of Flavors will be going on all week. Being a foodie, it is definitely one of my favorites! October 10th is Tamarack Time. Don't miss it and all the tasty treats from our local folks. 

National Parks Realty is moving...
Yes, that's right. We will be relocating in mid-October to 710 Grand Drive at the entrance to Bigfork village. We are moving to the "Her Alibi" location for bigger office space, more parking and better visibility. I'm sure we'll be having a huge party and I'll keep you posted as to the date of that event!

Feels like Fall...right outside my door this week.
