2016/17 Featured Authors Announced

On Monday, May 2, the sold out crowd at T.C. Boyle's Pen & Podium lecture, cheered loudly as they heard for the first time, who the featured authors would be for the 2016/17 season. John Irving kicks off the exciting lineup on Monday, September 28, followed by Lauren Groff on Monday, November 14, Anthony Doerr on Monday, February 6, Mary Karr on Monday, March 13, and Julia Alvarez on Monday, May 8 . If you are interested in becoming a 2016/17 season subscriber, you can click here to sign up to be on the Early Bird Ticket Information list. Ticket information will be sent out in early June.  Proceeds from Pen & Podium benefit The Denver Post Community Foundation.

Round 2 of 2016 Line-Up Announced, Tickets Onsale Now

The Denver Post Underground Music Showcase is this region's premier independent music festival. Taking place from Thursday, July 28 - Sunday, July 31, on multiple stages in Denver's Historic Baker Neighborhood, The UMS will present over 400 performances of local, regional and national talent.

Denver Post Colorado State Spelling Bee Champion Advances to Scripps National Spelling Bee Finals - Live Today!

Congratulations to Creighton Middle School eighth grader, Sylvie Lamontagne for making it to the Scripps National Spelling Bee Finals on on Thursday, May 26, (today), which airs live on ESPN2 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. (ET) and will continue from 8 - 10 p.m. (ET) on ESPN. Registration Open for 2016 Denver Post Pedal The Plains

PTP logo The 5th annual Pedal The Plains Bicycle Tour features the open range star-filled nights of Southeast Colorado. With the host communities of Ordway, Fowler, and La Junta ready to welcome cyclists, this 3 day tour has a little something for everyone, including a Century Ride and a Family Fun Ride.  Proceeds benefit The Denver Post Community Foundation.

Denver Public Library Friends Foundation Receives Pen & Podium Grant

Bestselling author, T.C. Boyle joined The Denver Post Community Foundation in presenting a $5,000 grant to the Denver Public Library Friends Foundation. Pictured with Mr. Boyle, from left to right is Diane Lapierre, Director of DPL Friends Foundation; Michelle Jeske, Denver City Librarian; and Tracy Ulmer, Executive Director of The Denver Post Community Foundation. 
A very special thank you goes to the Colorado Automobile Dealers Association, the Clear The Air Foundation, and UMB Bank for the amazing gift from the Denver Auto Show Charity Preview Party in March. On Thursday, May 12, The Denver Post Community Foundation was honored to received this $28,000 check at a CADA reception. 

Thank you to our Denver Post ACTS (Assisting the Community Through Service) employee volunteers and their family and friends for making a difference on Saturday, April 30, 2016 as part of the AMP The Cause Community Day
