NO on Ballot Questions

Defeat Prop HH

Proposition HH will appear on the Colorado ballot this November. Governor Polis and his cronies bill it as a property tax reduction measure, here’s the bottom line: it won’t reduce local property taxes. Instead, it could increase state taxes, and effectively end taxpayer refunds.

Prop HH, a Property Tax Change and Revenue Change Measure:

  • Reduces property tax rates, by less than 1% and does not account for property assessment increases.
  • Allows the state to retain and spend revenues that it would otherwise be required to refund to residents under the Colorado Taxpayer's Bill of Rights (TABOR) and effectively eliminates TABOR refunds after three years.
  • Creates a new, increased cap on state revenue, allowing the state to retain and spend additional revenue each year up to the Proposition HH Cap.
  • Allocates revenue to local governments to make up for the decreased property tax rates.
  • Creates a limit on local government property tax revenue.

Denver Public School Board Election

Look At The History

Our current school board’s dysfunction traces back to 2019 when voters started to elect union-backed candidates to the board. Currently, all of the incumbent school board members have been endorsed by the Denver Classroom Teachers Association (union). According to the Denver Gazette "A Keating Research poll found 50% of likely Denver voters hold an unfavorable opinion of the school board and 21% a very unfavorable opinion." We suggest you consult Denver Families Action for Public Schools for their recommendations.

Political News

Denver's HD 4 Representative Sides with Terrorists

In a shocking video that went viral, State Representative Tim Hernández, a Democrat, openly sided with the terrorists who killed hundreds of innocent Israelis, kidnapped and raped women and children, and threatened to wipe out the Jewish state. He attended a rally where he refused to condemn Hamas and its atrocities. The rally was full of anti-Israel slogans, such as “Palestine is our demand, no peace on stolen land. Red, black, green, white… for Palestine we will fight!

Denver City Council Slips in Late Ballot Question

Taking a page from the state legislature the Denver City Council has slipped in a late ballot question. Referred Question 2P asks to extend the sales tax that supports the Denver Preschool Program. The current sales tax does not expire until the end of 2026. One can only wonder if the Council is trying to take advantage of a low voter turnout for this question.

Local Schools

Cherry Creek schools are hiding the truth from parents; administrators in the district have directed "teachers to keep parents in the dark when their youngsters succumb to activist pressure about changing their sexual orientation, gender identity, or preferred pronouns."

The recently approved Universal Preschool program authorized by the state from 2022 is still struggling to get off the ground.

Denver school board draw's public ire over public comment time limits. The Denver school board last week began limiting public comment — temporarily — to two hours, and the public isn’t happy about it.

Denver is covering up for Auon'tai Anderson. Denver school board paid Anderson $3,500 settlement; "the board president said the board never voted on the payment. The district declined to release details of the settlement, despite Colorado court rulings that say settlement agreements by political entities are subject to public records law."

Denver Public School District is hiding behind Colorado Open Records Act requests with "Delay and obfuscation.' Denver schools' show a pattern of response to records requests.

Open Borders

The buses keep coming. Denver Mayor Mike Johnston worries migrant counts could “eclipse” previous highs as Texas sends more buses.

"Overwhelmed by the recent surge of migrants, Denver reached out to the governor to ask for support from the Colorado National Guard" – Request Denied.

Homelessness

At Denver's sanctioned campsites, a model similar to Mike Johnston's micro communities, roughly half of residents return to homelessness. Officials say their burgeoning "micro-community" program will strengthen the services needed for success. Denver’s upcoming sweep of the encampment near Governor’s Mansion came with housing offers, but some who were at work missed out.

Climate Change Agenda

Xcel Energy proposes a $15 billion plan to add renewable energy to its system. Colorado Public Utilities Commission Tuesday, shows Xcel could add $10 to the average residential customer’s bill by 2030.

Freedom Under Threat

Poll shows 1/3 of Democrats believe Americans have ‘too much freedom to speak freely.

If Liberals Voted Their Values, America Would Be Saved. "Liberals have been brainwashed from their youth to believe that Republicans represent “the rich” and that “Right” is synonymous with “fascist.” The opposite is true: it is the Democratic Party they reflexively vote for that represents the interests of the wealthy and that is stealthily and steadily imposing fascism — the merger of state and corporate power."
