“The new flight will connect with 78 domestic city pairs that offer over 160 connecting domestic flights. Foreign travel will also become easier with 18 unique international city pairs offered by United Airlines and United’s Star Alliance partners,” wrote Tim Rogers, Salina Airport Authority executive director, in his February newsletter report.

“I like the early morning departure and the evening return. What I’m hoping is to keep those times. That’s what we had, and then they changed the schedule, which is not as accommodating with the stop in Hays or the flight times,” said Jan Bolin, owner of World Travel, 1827 S. Ninth.
“I know my clients are in favor of the change back to the way it was,” she said.
Ditto that, said Luci Larson, owner of Action Travel, 116 S. Seventh. “It’s great. That is what we’ve always wanted,” she said of the schedule.
Starting June 1, flights to Chicago O’Hare International will depart Salina Regional daily at 4:37 p.m., arriving in Chicago at 6:32 p.m. Return flights depart Chicago at 1:55p.m. and land in Salina at 3:59 p.m.
