Summer event season is underway across Denver. Explore a few upcoming event highlights below and visit PEFP's Calendar for a full list of permitted events and details.

Civic Center NIGHT MARKET: Homegrown Colorado will take place at Civic Center Park on Friday, July 31. In commemoration of America’s 250th birthday and Colorado’s 150th birthday, this special edition of NIGHT MARKET will highlight Colorado food, culture and entertainment.

The event will include food and beverage vendors featuring local ingredients and Colorado produce, local artisans and craft vendors, a family fun zone, and a stage with local musicians.

Event Hours:

• Friday, July 31: 5–10 PM

Impacts: Road closures, parking restrictions and a bike-lane closure will be in place from 9 AM Friday, July 31, through 8 AM Saturday, August 1 in the following areas:

• Bicycle lane closure on Bannock Street between Colfax Avenue and 14th Avenue
• Full street closure of 14th Avenue between Cherokee Street and Broadway
• Full street closure of Bannock Street between 13th and 14th avenues
• Parking meters reserved on 14th Avenue between Cherokee and Bannock streets, and on Bannock Street between 13th and 14th avenues

Attendees should expect increased pedestrian activity, traffic and limited parking near Civic Center Park.

Visitors are encouraged to plan ahead and consider public transportation, biking or rideshare when traveling to the event.

The Colorado Day Community Fest 2026 will celebrate Colorado’s 150th anniversary of statehood on Saturday, August 1, with free activities centered around History Colorado and nearby cultural destinations. This free, family-friendly celebration will feature the theme “We Are Colorado,” along with a community pancake breakfast, car show, live music and dance performances, local artisan and farmers’ markets, and family-friendly activities.

Visitors can also enjoy free admission to the History Colorado Center, Denver Art Museum and Center for Colorado Women’s History during the celebration.

Event Hours:

• Community Festival: 9 AM–1 PM
• Food Trucks: 9 AM–2:30 PM
• Artisan Market: 9 AM–4 PM

Impacts: Road closures and parking restrictions will be in place on Saturday, August 1, from 5 AM–5 PM in the following areas:

• Broadway between 12th and 14th avenues
• 13th Avenue between Lincoln and Bannock streets

Event setup will begin at 6 AM, and cleanup will continue until approximately 5 PM. Attendees should expect increased pedestrian activity, traffic and limited parking near the event area.

Downtown Denver National Night Out will take place at Skyline Park 1 on Tuesday, August 4. The event will include participation from public safety agencies and community partners, including the Denver Police Department, Denver Fire Department, RTD, Department of Safety, Allied Security, Denver Health EMTs, Mounted Police and others.

The event will also include food, games, vendors, music and emergency vehicles.

Event Hours:Tuesday, August 4: 4:30–7:30 PM

Impacts: A partial traffic closure will be in place in the right-hand lane of Arapahoe Street between 15th and 16th streets on Tuesday, August 4, from noon–9:30 PM, until event cleanup is complete.

Event setup will begin at 1:30 PM, and cleanup will continue until approximately 8:30 PM. Attendees should expect increased pedestrian activity and limited parking near Skyline Park 1.

Visitors are encouraged to use public transportation or rideshare to help reduce traffic and parking congestion. Event entry will be located on 16th Street.

August First Friday will take place along Santa Fe Drive from 6th to 11th Avenue on Friday, August 7. The event will include food trucks, limited non-food vendors, artists and other activities throughout the corridor.

Event Hours: Friday, August 7: 5–10 PM

Impacts: Santa Fe Drive between 6th and 11th avenues will be closed on Friday, August 7, from 3 PM–midnight.

Parking will be unavailable beginning at noon Friday, August 7. No-parking signs will be staged on sidewalks the day before, on Thursday, August 6.

Event setup will take place from 3–5 PM, and cleanup will continue from approximately 10:30 PM–midnight. Attendees should expect increased pedestrian activity, traffic and limited parking in the area. The event is not gated, and visitors may enter from sidewalks leading to Santa Fe Drive. All entrances and exits are ADA accessible.

Visitors are encouraged to use public transportation or rideshare to help reduce traffic and parking congestion.

Smash Summer Fine Arts Festival will take place at Fillmore Plaza in Cherry Creek North, located at 105 Fillmore Street. The outdoor fine-art exhibit will feature artists working in painting, photography, mixed media, drawing, sculpture, metal, wood and jewelry. Live music is scheduled on Saturday and Sunday.

Event Hours:

• Saturday, August 8: 10 AM–5 PM
• Sunday, August 9: 10 AM–5 PM

Impacts: Fillmore Street between 1st and 2nd avenues will be closed to through traffic from 11 AM Friday, August 7, through 9 PM Sunday, August 9, after event cleanup is complete.

Metered parking on Fillmore Street between 1st and 2nd avenues will be unavailable from 10 PM Thursday, August 6, through 9 PM Sunday, August 9.

Event setup will begin Friday, August 7, and cleanup will continue until approximately 9 PM Sunday, August 9. Attendees should expect increased pedestrian activity, traffic and limited parking near Fillmore Plaza.

Public parking is available at the Republic Parking Garage, 175 Milwaukee Street, and the North Creek Garage, 100 Detroit Street. Visitors are encouraged to use public transportation or rideshare to help reduce traffic and parking congestion.

Event entrances will be located at the corners of Fillmore Street and 1st Avenue and Fillmore Street and 2nd Avenue.

Savannah Bananas at Coors Field will include a ticketed pre-game street fair outside Coors Field, located at 2001 Blake Street. The event will include food booths, merchandise sales and beverages before the Savannah Bananas games.

Event Hours:

• Friday, August 14: 3–6 PM
• Saturday, August 15: 3–6 PM
• Weather contingency: Sunday, August 16: 11 AM–2 PM

Impacts: Blake Street between 20th and 22nd streets will be closed for the event. There will also be a partial street closure on 21st Street between Blake and Market streets.

Street parking will be unavailable on Blake Street and 21st Street for the full weekend. Attendees should expect increased pedestrian activity, traffic and limited parking near Coors Field.

Event setup will take place Friday, August 14, from 9 AM–2 PM. Cleanup is scheduled for Sunday, August 16, from 1–8 PM.

Event entrance will be located at Gate D at 20th and Blake streets, where attendees will go through security before entering the street fair.

Visitors are encouraged to plan ahead and consider public transportation, biking or rideshare when traveling to the event.

Cherry Groove will take place at Fillmore Plaza in Cherry Creek North, located at 105 Fillmore Street. The two-day music event will include live bands, local food and drink, and interactive experiences in the district.

Event Hours:

• Friday, August 28: 4–9 PM
• Saturday, August 29: 11 AM–8:30 PM

Impacts: The event will take place at Fillmore Plaza, and attendees should expect increased pedestrian activity, traffic and limited parking near the event area.

Visitors are encouraged to use rideshare or park in a nearby garage to help reduce traffic and parking congestion.

The Colorado Dragon Boat Festival will take place at Sloan’s Lake Park on Saturday, August 29, and Sunday, August 30. The free, family-friendly festival highlights Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander heritage through cultural programming, food, vendors and dragon boat racing.

Event Hours:

• Saturday, August 29: 10 AM–7 PM
• Sunday, August 30: 8 AM–5 PM

Impacts: Street closures and no-parking restrictions will be enforced from 5 AM Saturday, August 29, through 9 PM Sunday, August 30 near Sloan’s Lake Park. Street barricades and signage will be placed beginning Friday, August 28, with permits in effect at noon.

Closures and parking restrictions will affect streets near the festival area, including portions of Byron Place, 25th Avenue and nearby north-south streets between Sheridan Boulevard and Vrain Street. Please review the event map for specific street access, parking restrictions, drop-off points and shuttle locations.

There is no onsite parking for attendees. Parking in surrounding neighborhoods is strongly discouraged, and vehicles parked in restricted areas may be ticketed or towed.

Attendees are encouraged to use rideshare, bike or public transportation. A free shuttle will operate approximately every 15 minutes between Auraria Campus and Sloan’s Lake during festival hours. Bike corrals will also be available.

A limited number of first-come, first-served accessible parking spaces will be available onsite for people with disability plates or placards. Drop-off points will be located at Byron and Zenobia and Byron and Vrain, with accessible parking on the south side of Byron near those locations.

The Polish Food Festival will take place at St. Joseph Polish Parish, located at 517 E. 46th Avenue. The annual family-friendly event will include live music, Polish food, Polish beer, guest vendors, singing and dancing.

Event Hours:

• Saturday, August 29: 12–9 PM
• Sunday, August 30: 12–5 PM

Impacts: The festival will take place on parish property. Part of the alley between the parish properties will be closed to allow guests to cross safely between event areas.

The alley connects E. 46th Avenue and E. 47th Avenue between Pennsylvania Street and Pearl Street. The closure will affect the southern one-third of the alley from 6 AM Saturday, August 29, through 9 PM Sunday, August 30.



Event setup will begin Friday, August 28, and cleanup will continue until approximately 8 PM Sunday, August 30. Attendees should expect increased pedestrian activity, traffic and limited parking near the parish.

Visitors are encouraged to use public transportation or rideshare to help reduce traffic and parking congestion. The event entrance will be located through the open parking lot around the parish school building near 517 E. 46th Avenue.
