SERVICE ENHANCEMENTS & UPDATES

Software Enhancement to ePermit

Improving Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Permits

This September, LADBS will be releasing a new enhancement to its Solar Photovoltaic (PV) permitting system to expand the types of PV systems that can be obtained online. The enhancement will allow LADBS customers to obtain permits for PV systems up to 38.4 KW, including Energy Storage Systems (ESS), for installation in one or two family dwellings.

This enhancement marks a major step forward, as it is expected to cover almost the entirety of PV system installations in one or two family dwellings within the City of Los Angeles. As a result, the permitting process for solar projects will become more efficient and more accessible, fostering the adoption of sustainable energy solutions throughout the city.

To access ePermit, users must have an Angeleno Account (https://angelenologin.lacity.org), which is a single log in account to access multiple services for various city departments.
