A patient pays tribute to the impact our child life specialist and art therapist have had on one of our Hematology/Oncology patients and her sibling. An email and photo were sent to us acknowledging just how influential their work is - proving, once again, their ability to bring value to the lives of our patients and families far beyond the medical setting. ❤️
Dr. Christine Joyce expresses her gratitude to Dr. Jennifer Salant for her assistance with a patient. Dr. Salant went above and beyond, managing a busy service while contacting the adult palliative care team, the director of pediatric hospice, and answering multiple phone calls from her to get this family, whom she had never even met, services and support. By doing this, she positively impacted the lives of all of them. ❤️
Share your appreciation for colleagues by submitting a shout-out for inclusion in the department newsletter here!
