About the Program

This program will provide attorneys with critical strategies for effectively deposing financial experts, including economists, CPAs, and financial planners. It explores the importance of tailoring deposition approaches to the specific expertise of the witness and weighs the merits of two key strategies: gathering information to solidify the expert’s opinions versus aggressively challenging the expert as if conducting a trial cross-examination. By examining the potential risks and benefits of each approach, attorneys can better decide whether to focus on securing the expert's testimony or attempting to discredit them entirely.
