Applications are Being Accepted for a Market on Chocolate Director
The Downtown Hershey Association is looking for an organized, outgoing independent contractor to direct the 2019  Market on Chocolate season. Market on Chocolate runs every Saturday from June through August, mid-morning through the afternoon in downtown Hershey.

The Market provides an opportunity for local artisans, food vendors, and other purveyors of excellent products that may not have a storefront presence to interact with the public and for the community to gather to purchase fresh food, original creations, and participate in activities.

The Market on Chocolate Director will manage volunteers, oversee schedules and the Market layout, and coordinate vendor payments on a structured scale or pay-as-you-go schedule. The Director will also work with committee members to schedule fitness classes, live music, and other entertainment to increase the sense of community at the Market. If interested, click here for the full position description and instructions on how to apply.

9th Annual Ice Skating Party to be Held at Hersheypark Arena
If you haven't heard, ice is back in Hersheypark Arena and it's time to sharpen your blades and come to a historic venue for a fun night of community skating! The Hershey Derry Township Historical Society will hold the event on Friday, January 25, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Kids will have a unique opportunity to skate with Coco, enjoy tasty treats, and have fun with their friends. Local historian Bob Shaffer, affectionately known as a "Rink Rat," will host a lecture on how the ice surface is created and how the Zamboni is used to create an ideal ice skating surface. Everyone will get an up-close look at the Zamboni and can have their picture taken with this iconic symbol of ice hockey.
As always, guests will also have the opportunity to enjoy a self-guided tour of the "Old Barn." Don't miss out on the chance to explore this historical landmark and strap on those skates.
Be sure to purchase your tickets in advance - our price hasn't changed since we started hosting this annual tradition and it's a great family deal!
Admission is $5.00 per person with advance purchase of tickets at the Historical Society, or www. hersheyhistory.org , or $7.00 at the door.

The price includes skate rental, tours, lectures, and light refreshments. Children under five skate free.

Parking is available at no charge. Please enter the Arena at Box Office 4.
