Concert Traffic Alert - 7/9/21 - Luke Bryan
To mitigate traffic issues associated with large concert events and their impact on traffic in the village area of Hershey, the "slip ramp," which normally permits northbound traffic from Park Boulevard, traveling from the connection with Ridge Road, will be closed on Friday, July 9th from 2:00pm to 8:00pm. All traffic wishing to gain access to the parking lots for this concert event and future concert events of a certain attendance size will need to use Hersheypark Drive. Persons who still use northbound Park Boulevard are reminded there is a No U-turn restriction at the intersection with Hersheypark Drive. Best access for parking lots will be Hersheypark Drive via PA Routes. 39 & 743, and U.S. Routes 422 & 322. As stated earlier, we will continue to work with our partners at Hershey Entertainment & Resorts to monitor the attendance size for future concerts and have this closure in place to ease traffic concerns in the village area of Hershey, especially traffic on Ridge Road from Cocoa Avenue.
Stop this Invader! Spotted Lanternfly
The spotted lanternfly, native to Asia, is an invasive and extremely destructive pest that threatens important agricultural commodities, including the grape, hardwood, tree fruit, and landscape.

This planthopper weakens plants by feeding on sap. It excretes a sugary substance called honeydew that promotes the growth of sooty mold and causes a messy nuisance.

An adult spotted lanternfly is approximately 1” long and ½” wide. Nymphs are 1/8” to ½” long and has four stages of development. Fresh egg masses are gray that give the appearance of a mud-like covering. Older egg masses will look dry and crack.

If you see a spotted lanternfly, report it immediately online at or call 1-888-4BADFLY (1-888-422-3359). Importantly, when spotted kill it, squash it, smash it, just get rid of it.
