Hershey Community Center Project to Move Forward
At a special meeting on Thursday, March 5, 2020, the Board of Supervisors authorized the Township Manager to sign the notice to proceed, signaling the start of construction on the new Hershey Community Center. Building demolition and construction will begin shortly with an estimated 22-month construction period.
The Board of Supervisors has the option to make some modifications to the approved design through the change order process and will hold a public meeting to discuss any possible project modifications in the next few weeks.
The project is anticipated to be completed in late 2021 or early 2022.
Traffic Alert
The portion of Sand Hill Road from Cherry Drive to Forest Ave will be closed starting at 7 p.m. Friday night (3/6) through Sunday (3/8) so PPL can complete work on the underground transmission line.

During this time, traffic will be detoured around the site via Fishburn Road and roadways in the Glen Acres development. Residents and guests to Country Meadows will still be able to access the facility via Country Meadows Lane when using Sand Hill Road from the intersection with Forest Avenue/Clark Road.  Residents in the 500 block of Sand Hill Road will be able to access their properties from the south at the intersection with Forest Avenue/Clark Road.

The work is being done on a weekend to minimize the impact to residents and to the Hershey Medical Center. For more information or questions, please visit or email
