Phoenix, Arizona, April 30, 2019 - Audrey's Angels Board Chair, Todd Stoa, is pleased to announce that Lori Sevensky, Senior Vice President of Retail Sales and Operations
with Desert Financial Credit Union has joined the Audrey's Angels Board of Directors. Lori has been in the financial services industry for over 30 years managing sales, operations, lending and default management.
Audrey's Angels is a local 501(c)3 nonprofit that serves the elderly living in small group care homes in Maricopa County with live music enrichment programs. Founded in 2001, Audrey's Angels is the only organization that provides therapeutic, weekly, live music enrichment programs to a very isolated elderly population (85% of the residents receive no outside visitors). The nonprofit also provide music and craft programs to disabled adults in adult day centers.
The elderly that Audrey's Angels serve all suffer from age related physical or mental disabilities that prevent them from living independently. The social interaction of weekly visits from the Audrey's Angels Music Angels, along with the mental and cognitive stimulation of live music provides a tremendous emotional and health benefit to these individuals.
Lori Sevensky has been active in the Phoenix community through various charitable works for many years. Ms. Sevensky states that it was a personal experience that touched her heart to join Audrey's Angels Board: "A family member experienced a terminal illness and received care in a small group home. I saw firsthand the value and impact an organization like Audrey's Angels can make for the residents receiving care in a small group home. I am excited to give back and help grow the organization and expand their reach."
