Slaughter Across the Water!
|
After a two year break, the Annapolis-Eastport Tug of War took place Saturday, November 5. Not only were attendees gifted with a great show and beautiful weather, the event offered food and drink trucks, a full schedule of live music, and display booths filled with goodies, gifts and local business information. Several GADD Members provided marketing material and complimentary swag to the delight of passersby who shopped our table at the event.
Thanks to the following volunteers who helped work the booth for the day
What a great day!

Industry Partner Sponsorship Opportunities
|
Companies that provide a product or service to the design and build industry can show their support and contribute to the success of the Greater Annapolis Design District (GADD) by participating in a Sponsorship opportunity.
There’s no better way to increase your brand recognition and gain direct contact and visibility opportunities with local design professionals than by becoming an Industry Partner Sponsor.
Sponsorship funds supplement the GADD’s marketing, educational, legislative, and student support budget.
Sponsorship Levels
Benefits of becoming an Industry Partner Sponsor include:
-
Sponsor’s branding logo on the Home, About, and Contact pages of the GADD website (size/placement dependent upon sponsorship level) with links to Sponsor’s website.
- Podium presence and tabletop display (Platinum Level only) and verbal recognition and literature distribution opportunities (all sponsors) at our major annual events, including the Membership Drive and Member Business Luncheon (attended by all Members).
- Complimentary passes to the Member Business Luncheon (three for Platinum and Gold Level Sponsors and two for Silver Level Sponsors).
- Attend events hosted by our Business Members and gain direct contact opportunities with architects, builders, interior designers, kitchen and bath designers, home improvement contractors and craftsmen, and students attending a trade college.
- Promotional ad space and Blog link to an article distributed via the GADD Newsletter and social media mentions with links and tags (two annually for Platinum and Gold Level Sponsors and one for Silver Level Sponsors.) Opportunities to purchase additional promotions are available.

Is Your House Ready for a Checkup? Houzz Research Identifies Common Renovation Projects by Home Age
|
Depending on the year your home was built, you might be noticing that your air conditioning unit could use a checkup or that your roof needs a little love. Perhaps your house is in great condition, but new technology has hit the market that you want to install. Home age impacts the types of projects that homeowners prioritize, according to findings from the 2022 Houzz & Home Study.* Houzz analyzed the renovation activity of more than 70,000 respondents to understand the types of projects that typically arise when a home reaches a certain age.
“One of the driving factors for home renovation and design in the U.S. is our limited and aging housing stock,” says Marine Sargsyan, Houzz staff economist. “With interest rates and mortgage rates on the rise, many homeowners are choosing to stay in their homes and pursue renovations that tailor their space to their current needs. Others may move to fixer-uppers, which typically have a lower cost threshold for entering homeownership. Our research reveals common themes among renovating homeowners to provide guidance on the types of projects that may be anticipated based on the age of each home.”
