VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE - Rally Your Team!
It is time to start rallying your volleyball teams for this year's AIA Architectural and Engineering Volleyball League organized by SMBH! This coed grass league will begin matches in June and continue through the summer. The games are all on Thursday nights at 7pm at the field in front of the SMBH offices. Timothy Hawk, FAIA has held numerous local and national AIA leadership positions and has worked tirelessly to expand communication among architects and build awareness of change and opportunities. Increasing relevancy of the AIA has always been one of his goals and as the AIA seeks to reposition, Tim is well-suited and eager to contribute in moving the profession forward. |

Craig Chamberlain, Assoc. AIA has served as AIA Kentucky's Associate Director since 2014 and has helped develop and organize roundtables and workshops that help show emerging professionals what a valuable resource the AIA can be. Advocating for associates in his home state has given him the experience needed to be able to represent the associates in the Ohio Valley in his new role. |
AIA OHIO OFFICER POSITION AVAILABLE AIA Ohio is looking for a member to fill the treasurer position for 2016. This is a two year term, followed by a one year term as President-elect, a one year term as President, and a one year term as Past President. Call Gwen at 614-469-1973 if interested in this position. 2015 AIA OHIO DESIGN AWARDS CALL FOR ENTRIES The AIA Ohio design awards program will promote and focus attention on quality design, sustainability, and AIA's 10 principles of livable communities. The jury will evaluate all projects based on the aesthetic, functional, contextual, social and sustainable characteristics of the design. The jury will also evaluate submissions based on their successful response to one or more of AIA's 10 principles of livable communities. The American Institute of Architects is currently accepting nominations for our two highest honors-Gold Medal and the Architecture Firm Award. Each year, these honors recognize outstanding contributions to the architecture profession by an individuals and by a firm. We truly value your input and encourage your participation.
