This exhibition is curated by Vida Sacic, Assistant Professor of Design, NEIU Art Department, and Jonathan McGlothin
Designing Art is an exhibit of Graphic Design work from a range of design studios and designers who create work for cultural institutions and promotion of Fine Art. The exhibit participants include Commercial Artisan from Indianapolis, Dafi K�hne from Z�rich, Switzerland, Museum of Contemporary Art from Chicago, Museum of Modern Art from New York, Project Projects from New York and Walker Art Center from Minneapolis.
James Sholly of Commercial Artisan will be giving a talk on March 7th at 12pm in the gallery.
All events are free and open to the public.
The reception is sponsored by The NEIU Office of Cultural Events. Refreshments will be served at 7pm with a concert to begin at 8pm.
The concert will be performed by The Sierra Hull Band . Sierra Hull is a respected bluegrass mandolinist, a singer, and a songwriter.
About NEIU Fine Arts Center Gallery
The NEIU gallery is located at 5500 N. St. Louis
Avenue in Building E in the northwest area of
the campus. The Fine Arts Center Gallery is a visual exhibition space committed to showcasing innovative works of art in all media within a pluralistic, culturally diverse setting. Parking is free the night of the reception only.
For free parking for the reception, please park in Lot F. Enter Building E for access to the gallery. Once through the double door entry, go straight a few feet and then look right--that is the gallery!!
