The recent snowstorm delivered welcome moisture, bringing more than two inches of water content to the area. However, two inches is not nearly enough needed to bring us out of the existing drought conditions. According to the latest Drought Monitor, we moved from extreme to severe drought conditions.

Centennial Water's stored water supplies are below average. It will take more than one large snowstorm to pull us out of a drought. That's why we need your help.

We encourage customers to start thinking about water conservation. What can you do in and around your home to help save water? Every drop helps.

Stay green while saving water - sign up for a sprinkler inspection

Sign up for a Slow the Flow free irrigation inspection. Slow the Flow can help maintain a beautiful, healthy lawn while saving water.

Trained sprinkler technicians will conduct efficiency tests on your sprinkler system to determine exactly how long you should run zones to keep your lawn green and healthy, without over watering.

You will receive a customized watering schedule to take the guesswork out of watering your lawn, and bi-weekly, weather-based watering recommendations so you always know you’re giving your lawn the water it needs to thrive. Conserving water doesn’t have to equal a brown lawn.

Volunteers sought for home water sampling

Centennial Water is seeking homeowners to participate in a sampling program required by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. If you live in a single-family home built between 1983 and 1987, we want to hear from you. Participants will receive a gift card as a thank you for participating.

With the assistance of homeowners, Centennial Water will test the amount of lead and copper levels in water at the tap. This is not a new program, and is something required of all water districts across the state.
