Welcome to the October edition of Destination Niagara Falls News! With the kids back in school, everyone back at work and a warm autumn inviting us to explore Niagara, there's no excuse not to soak up the smell of leaves on our trails, head to one of the many fall festivals or ditch traditional forms of transportation and jump on a Segway for a guided tour of the Welland Canal, Port Dalhousie or wineries. Niagara Segway is our featured business this month and owner Archie Hardie says visitors to Niagara love the unforgettable experience of zooming along a canal trail, around a historical neighbourhood or through a vineyard on a two-wheeled, battery-powered people mover. Definitely something different than walking or driving! October is full of fall festivals and of course, a favourite - the Annual Ball's Falls Thanksgiving Festival - is celebrating 40 years this year. Get out and enjoy these fall events...winter will be here before we know it!

The Niagara Wine Festival had thousands partying in St. Catharines' Montebello Park over two weekends in September, and we had gorgeous weather for the 63rd annual Grande Parade on September 27.
