Visit Eva To Sample Bama's Best Chicken Tenders
In the quest for Bama’s Best Chicken Tenders, one eatery rules the roost — Bobby’s Restaurant in Eva.

The Morgan County institution, owned by April and John Hall, is known for basketfuls of deep brown tenders covered in crunchy bits of breading. Crinkle-cut fries, fresh-cut slaw, perfectly buttered Texas toast and homemade sauces round out the judge-approved meal.

The Alabama Farmers Federation Poultry Division sponsored the contest, which highlights how Alabamians flock to their favorite bird (poultry is a $15 billion industry in the state).

Duvall Visits With County Presidents
American Farm Bureau Federation President Zippy Duvall joined Alabama farmer-leaders at the County Presidents Conference in Nashville July 8-11. Duvall spoke about stepped-up basis, grassroots and the importance of sharing farmers’ stories in Washington. He is pictured with Henry County Farmers Federation President Ed White.

“We are farmers, and we plant seeds everyday," Duvall said. "What kind of seeds are you planting? Opportunity or challenge? Happiness or sadness? Are we planting seeds of success or failure? Satisfaction or turmoil? Are you planting seeds of hope or desperation? We are Americans. There is always hope.”
