Marina Coast Water District is collaborating with Flume in a study facilitated by the California Department of Water Resources (DWR) to analyze indoor residential water-use trends. As part of the study, Flume is giving out a limited number of FREE Flume Water Monitoring devices to residential customers within the MCWD service area.
Flume is a smart home water monitoring device that enables you to track your water usage 24/7 from your smartphone or desktop, and will notify you of possible leaks and excessive water use.
After installing your Flume water monitoring device, enjoy benefits such as:
-
Minute-by-minute water data for accurate tracking of usage.
-
Daily, weekly, and monthly water use targets to help manage consumption and reduce water bills.
-
Instant alerts to prevent left-on faucets or unnoticed leaks.
-
Individual appliance water usage breakdown, so you can learn how much water each appliance consumes.
-
Detailed insights into outdoor water use to help you manage your irrigation schedule effectively.
Notes: Property owners who receive a device will need to agree to install it promptly and maintain the device for at least one year.
A plumber or modification to your water system is not required.
A Wi-Fi connection is required to allow the transfer of water-use data to the cloud. All water-use data will be anonymized and aggregated when analyzed for use in the study (no personal information will be shared).
