After tomorrow night's Tephilla, our Early Shabbat Minyan will take a 3 week summer break. For the Shabbatot of August 12, 19 and 26, there will be no early minyan. Rather, all are invited to doven Friday night kabalat Shabbat at our Emek Refaim branch located at Emek Refaim 47. Mincha begins 20 minutes after candle-lighting.
We will renew Friday night tephillot at Beit Natan (our main branch) on Friday, September 2.

WELCOME GUESTS
We are once again honored to welcome this Shabbat morning a group of teenagers visiting Israel as part of the Camp Ramah movement. As has been the result with two previous groups, this first time group visit to an Orthodox Synagogue will hopefully be an important part of their spiritual and communal experience in Israel.
TISHA B'AV
Our Motzei Shabbat Tisha B'av services will take place together with our Emek Refaim branch at Emek Refaim 47. The full schedule is contained within the flyer below.
Tisha B'av morning has two options, including our main branch Beit Natan regular weekday minyan at 8:15 AM, as well as a more extensive program at our Emek branch (again, see the flyer).
TISHA B'AV HALACHOT
ON Shabbat Chazon one wears regular Shabbat clothing and partakes in regular Shabbat meals, including meat.
On Shabbat afternoon, one should refrain from learning any subjects in Torah that bring the learner joy, similar to any Erev Tisha B'av. Learning Torah Shabbat afternoon should be limited to Tisha B'av permitted subjects.
The third meal, even though it technically is the seuda mafseket, should be like all other Shabbat meals - both in content and style (i.e. at the table, with others). But it should finish by no later than 7:37 PM.
After Shabbat goes out, one says 'Baruch hamavdil ben kodesh l'chol' and then removes one's leather shoes and dons weekday clothing.
We do not make havdalla on wine after Shabbat, but only on the candle. We make a second havdalla Sunday night without spices and without the candle.
On Sunday night when the fast ends, havdalla wine, music, bathing, haircutting are all permitted immediately. The custom is not to eat meat or drink other wine until the next morning.
