Develop People, Develop Missions, Develop Organizations

Greetings Ministry Partners,

CCI Thailand and the Association of Baptists for World Evangelism (ABWE) collaborated to provide Good Soil training to all Thai coordinators. From July 1 to 5, we held training on evangelism and discipleship with 27 participants and ABWE missionaries. The training demonstrated the importance of effective and clear evangelism in disciple-making.

In Buddhist countries, the call to make disciples is challenging. If the proclamation and discipleship are not strong, understood, and clear, it will be even more difficult. It is a blessing that we learned important principles and steps for evangelism and discipleship that we can apply in our local churches and to CCI's mission.

All the participants were delighted because this was the hope that he would return to train and teach his people for more real and clear evangelism.

I heard from the coordinator that he is now using this manual to evangelize and make disciples. Many people are believing in Jesus Christ through this tool. Praise God.

CCI Thai Coordinators Attending ABWE Training

Pastor Jemmy Khamphut, the area coordinator for the Lawa region, attended the training and said, "From attending the Good Soil ministry training, I received knowledge and understanding about evangelism. I have applied the Good Soil evangelism principles when reaching out to new people in the church, where members take time to build relationships, show love, and become friends with them. l introduced the Bridge of the Gospel and led them to believe through this tool. It is like the good soil mentioned in Luke 8:15."

Meet a Burmese Shan Translator

Fighting continues in Burma (Myanmar) between the ethnic armies and the Burmese military, leading to difficulties in combat zones and remote areas. The situation remains the same, but some areas, such as the northern border of Thailand near the Golden Triangle, are still considered safe at the moment. I had the opportunity to meet with the Shan leader, one of the largest indigenous people in Burma. Many of these tribes still need education and development in the field of missions.

Thank God that the door has been opened for us to translate the lessons into the Shan language. This group of brothers and sisters can use it to develop people, the church, and missions in Burma and in the countries in Indochina, where this Shan ethnic group is spread across many countries.

Thank you to the donors and supporters of the translation project and all those who have offered prayers. I believe that this project will be a great blessing for the people of Burma, Thailand, and Indochina.

Thank you to all of you who have faithfully prayed for and supported the CCI ministry in Thailand.

In His Grace,

Mana Rujirayanyong

Area Coordinator for Southern Thailand

"My family was a strong Buddhist believer. We came to Christ with the whole family when I was about 18 years old and were baptized together on February 27, 1988. We had a construction company, but after believing in God for two years, my parents decided to shut down the company. They began to seek God and serve Him with the local church. Four years later, God called them to plant a church, and my father decided to serve God full-time. He planted a New Vision Church and became a pastor for more than 31 years.

After graduating from Bangkok and returning to Surat Thani, I joined them in the ministry by caring for the worship team and young adults. My wife takes care of the children group. I became a pastor in 2009. I had been thinking about how to make disciples and looking for the tools and materials to equip my team. Finally, I got to know CCI and attended a Teacher Training Workshop (TTW). Almost three years ago, I started a new class.

Many of my students have grown in Christ and have become Sunday school teachers and preachers. I am so thankful for the CCI training course. This is the right answer for the local church. You can train your members to be leaders, pastors, church planters, and discipleship makers as long as you continue to commit yourselves to training them faithfully. They are your good soil and will be fruitful."

Testimony

My name is Pranee Palertpanya. I am 36 years old. I am currently a CCI student. I came to believe in God at the age of 25 at Ruam Nimit Church, Mae Phrao, Ngao District, Lampang Province. My husband was addicted to drugs, and our life was full of problems. He fell seriously ill and nearly died but was saved by God. As a result, our family dedicated ourselves to serving God. We were eventually appointed as church elders. We devoted ourselves to studying the Bible at Ruam Nimit Church in Mae Phrao and went on to serve in establishing churches among the Khmu people in the Mae Chan District, Chiang Rai Province. Currently, there are about 50 believers or members in Mae Chan, including those from Laos. I want to thank God for His love through my life and family."
