Different Disciplines Dominate the Dixon

Devon, Pennsylvania - May 25, 2025 - Different disciplines dominated the Dixon Oval on Sunday, featuring hometown riders and local traditions. The day began with the annual Devon Horse Show Carriage Marathon through the historical streets of Devon, concluding with a final judging in the Dixon Oval. The day ended with the highly anticipated Devon Arena Eventing.

Devon Horse Show Carriage Marathon


It was our pleasure to present the annual Devon Horse Show Carriage Marathon—one of Devon’s most cherished traditions. With roots dating back to 1896, the Devon Horse Show has long celebrated the elegance and heritage of carriage driving. From St. David’s Church to the Dixon Oval, these majestic carriages made their way through the historic Devon area before the final judging.

Since its inception, Devon has been so much more than just a horse show. The Devon Fair Grounds have served as an annual meeting ground for competitors and locals alike looking for a day of fun. About The Devon Horse Show and Country Fair 

Started in 1896, The Devon Horse Show and Country Fair is the oldest and largest outdoor multi-breed horse show in North America and draws in top competitors worldwide. With the grandeur of Philadelphia's historic Main Line as its backdrop, the show continues to reflect the local traditions and lifestyles of the community. Over 2,000 volunteers run the event, and there are various boutique shops in miniature cottages, amusement rides and games for kids, multiple dining options, and live entertainment. Proceeds support The Bryn Mawr Hospital. 


The Devon Horse Show Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that operates to serve the charitable and educational purposes of The Devon Horse Show and Country Fair, Inc. It also supports the maintenance and improvement of the historic Devon Horse Show grounds to ensure its position as one of the premier equestrian event facilities in the world.
