Professionals Take the Reins at Devon

Devon, Pennsylvania - May 27, 2025 - Legendary riders took to the Dixon Oval on Tuesday for the first day of Professional Hunter and FEI competition. Three Green Hunter champions were crowned, and showjumpers graced the Dixon for the debut FEI class of the 129th Devon Horse Show.

Green Hunters were the first of the professional divisions to take to the Dixon Oval with three separate championship crownings taking place.

Jet Run Devon Welcome Stake

FEI jumpers representing six different nations made their 2025 debut in the Dixon Oval vying for the first victory of the week in Tuesday's $38,700 Jet Run Devon Welcome Stake sponsored by Meridian Bank.

The Single Horse Driving Championship closed out competition in the Dixon Oval with Susan Vaill and her Dutch Harness horse Brutus claiming the 2025 title.

About The Devon Horse Show and Country Fair 

Started in 1896, The Devon Horse Show and Country Fair is the oldest and largest outdoor multi-breed horse show in North America and draws in top competitors worldwide. With the grandeur of Philadelphia's historic Main Line as its backdrop, the show continues to reflect the local traditions and lifestyles of the community. Over 2,000 volunteers run the event, and there are various boutique shops in miniature cottages, amusement rides and games for kids, multiple dining options, and live entertainment. Proceeds support The Bryn Mawr Hospital.
