Home Delivered Meals to Seniors
Jewish Family Service is dedicated to providing as many meals as possible to San Diegans in need of all faiths and backgrounds. The nonprofit is responding to COVID-19 by providing FREE home-style meals to adults ages 60 and older and younger adults with disabilities that prevent them from leaving their homes.
San Diego Job Opportunities
The City of San Diego, County of San Diego and the San Diego Workforce Partnership Career Portal all have current job openings. They are accepting online applications with positions varying from entry level to those requiring college degrees. Review the requirements for the positions and see what opportunities fit your skill set.
COVID-19 Emergency Rental Assistance Program
The County of San Diego Emergency Rental Assistance Program provides grants of up to $3,000 to cover rent for eligible households financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Applications opened on December 1, and will close when the funds are depleted. Applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis and assistance will be sent directly to the landlord.
San Diego Latino Health Coalition

City of San Diego Internet Access & Public Wi-Fi Questionnaire
The City of San Diego is asking the community for input on how to better serve the public with free or low-cost internet access. The brief survey takes about 7-10 minutes to complete, and will help the City better allocate internet resources and funds to communities.
Access Youth Academy New Facility Update
We are proud to support Access Youth Academy as it works to complete its new squash athletic and academic facility in Southeastern San Diego. With the support of a $5.5 million grant from the City of San Diego, Access Youth Academy is constructing a gathering space that can be enjoyed by the entire community. The new facility will allow Access Youth to serve first-generation college students, provide services to thousands of at-risk youth, offer multi-use facilities and host a variety of outdoor activities – for FREE!
Watch Local Entrepreneurs Compete in The Union Bank Start-Up Pitch Competition
CONNECT ALL @ the Jacobs Center’s Union Bank Start-Up Pitch Competition features local startup businesses virtually competing for three business grants. These entrepreneurs have pre-recorded five-minute pitch videos to convince a distinguished panel of judges why they should receive funds, explaining their business plan and what they’ve learned while in the CONNECT ALL @ the Jacobs Center business accelerator program.

Watch these pitches on YouTube and VOTE for your favorite video for the “Audience Choice Award!”
Bringing in the Joy and a Little Dose of Jubilee
Jacobs Center is proud to partner with Common Ground Theatre, the premiere Black theatre in San Diego, for its 2020-21 season, “Raising Our Consciousness to a Higher Level.” Tune in on Saturday, Dec. 19 at 3 p.m. for a FREE Facebook Live concert “Bringing the Joy and a Little Dose of Jubilee,” a soul-stirring revue weaving together jazz, blues, contemporary and spiritual music.

Starring some of Common Ground's favorite gospel singers and band members, including Felicia Daniels, Langston Grant and Eboni Muse and many others, this event will inspire audience members to raise their spirits with joy at the end of a very revolutionary year.
