"Babies Lives Matter, Too!"
by Maria Gallagher, Legislative Director

Cable news commentators Diamond & Silk are known for their humorous take on the issues of the day. But, before a massive crowd at the Celebrate Life Banquet in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, the two sisters told the unvarnished truth about the tragedy of abortion. “Can you imagine if Mommy had aborted us?” asked one sister to the other. Given the dynamic duo’s widespread popularity,
it is apparent that a world without Diamond & Silk is unthinkable. READ MORE

“Heartbeat” Bill Being
Introduced in PA Legislature

A “heartbeat” bill is scheduled to be introduced today in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and the PA Senate. The legislation, sponsored by state Senator Doug Mastriano (R-Adams, Cumberland, Franklin, and York Counties) and state Representative Stephanie Borowicz (R-Clinton and Centre Counties) would ensure that an abortion would not be permitted after an unborn baby’s heartbeat is detected.

As the sponsors note, “In order to make an informed choice about whether to continue the pregnancy, a pregnant woman has a legitimate interest in knowing the likelihood of the (unborn baby) surviving to full-term birth based upon the presence of cardiac activity.”

The legislation states that less than five percent of all natural pregnancies end in miscarriage after a heartbeat has been detected.

Gosnell Movie Screening
The Concerned Citizens for Human Life Bedford is inviting residents of Blair, Cambria, and Allegheny counties, as well as pro-lifers in Maryland to attend a screening of the film Gosnell : The Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer at the Pitt Theater in Bedford on November 2, 2019 at 2:30 p.m . Because the film exposes the horrors of abortion, media bias prevented it from being widely shown in the theaters across the country. As a result many people have not seen it or even heard of it! Attendees may make a free-will donation to help defray the cost of renting the theater. Contact Doug Braendel at [email protected] for more information.
