It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dick Wray, our founder, mentor and friend, a respected leader, visionary, and cherished colleague in the restaurant and hospitality industry. Dick passed away last evening.

Over the course of his remarkable career, Dick made an indelible impact on the industry, leaving behind a legacy of innovation, dedication, and excellence. As founder of Dick Wray & Consultants, Inc in 1972 [now Wray Executive Search], Dick was instrumental in driving progress and inspiring countless professionals with his leadership, wisdom, and unwavering commitment.

Beyond his professional achievements, Dick will be remembered for his warmth, generosity, mentorship, compassion, and keen intuition which touched the lives of so many in our industry who had the privilege of working alongside him. Dick’s myriad contributions will continue to resonate within the industry for years to come.

Dick is survived by his wonderful daughters and loving grandchildren as well as his extended professional family.

Dick Wray will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by so very many. May his memory be a blessing.
