Edith Spurlock Redevelopment
Dickens Greenway Meeting - Venue Change
Park West Neighborhood Ward Walk
Mayor Lightfoot Budget Survey
Dear Neighbors,

Monday evening we hosted a community meeting with the Wrightwood Neighbors Association on the redevelopment of the Edith Spurlock Apartments located at 2640 - 2720 N Sheffield Ave.

This project, supported by CHA funds, will bring renovated apartments, new community spaces, and new amenities for current and future residents. Besides the redevelopment of the two existing structures into a total of 405 units of senior housing, the plan calls for the construction of a new building that will be linked to the two senior apartment towers.

The proposed new structure would be six-stories tall and contain 80 units that will provide affordable, as well as market-rate apartments for families in Lincoln Park. The site is currently a Planned Development (PD 52), and in order to allow for its redevelopment, a zoning map amendment must be approved for the PD.
