2025 Field Days Set for

The Dickinson Research Extension Center field days will be held on July 16 and 17.

The Wednesday, July 16 (9 am MDT) will be held at the Manning Ranch. Drought forage options, fly management, low mineral nitrogen in rangelands, ranch finance trends, soil health demonstration, and livestock stress are the topics for the Ranch Field Day held at North Dakota State University’s (NDSU) Dickinson Research Extension Center Manning Ranch.

The Thursday, July 17 (4:30 pm MDT) field day will be held at the Dickinson Research Extension Center’s Wardner Agricultural Laboratory in Dickinson. We will have a ribbon cutting, BBQ supper, and laboratory tour. The Agronomy tour to follow supper (6 pm MDT). Topics include robot weeder, herbicide resistant weeds management, biochar, veris demo, DREC crops research update, spring wheat varieties, barley varieties, management of forages and cover crops for drought adaptation, and soil health trailer. Youth ages 6 to 13 will have the opportunity to make ice cream and participate in STEM activities during the agronomy tour. These activities will be held at NDSU’s Dickinson Research Extension Center.
