The fall of Lucifer is also a metaphor for human consciousness as it "falls" (descends) from heaven and then must work its way back to its home (ascend) -- like the prodigal son. Lucifer's "jewel of the crown" was struck down from heaven to the earth by the Archangel Michael who had been given a sword/spear from the throne of the divine to counter the attack upon the throne of the divine.
The stone of Lucifer fell down into Palestine and was preserved and used during the last super. The spear of Longinus and the cup (grail) of Joseph of Arimethea belong together as of imagine of the consciousness of the human heart (grail) rising up the spine (spear) until it returns to its home in the heavens above our world (ventricles of the brain).
The three elements of the sword (wisdom), the holy grail (love), and human consciousness (grace) that ride upon the blood are aligned with the mysteries of the blood relics of Jesus Christ, both literally and figuratively.
