Dear Friends | Queridos amigos:

Love Your Mother | Ama tu madre
We're sad that Earth Month is almost over! It's been a wonderful time of community watershed engagement, education, empowerment, and improvement. Staff and volunteers have hosted programs at Jenkintown Elementary School, along the Tookany Creek Parkway and in Tacony Creek Park. We Celebrated Trails Day too!

Did you see us on 6ABC? 📺
We're hoping to foster better behavior changes and hopefully increase volunteerism in the community to improve our waterways, improve our green spaces. We can't do this on our own. Community Watershed Leader, Doryán De Angel

As part of its Earth Day coverage, 6ABC aired a segment about a cleanup in Tacony Creek Park with Bennett Compost. Thank you, Action News Community Journalist Matteo Iadonisi for sharing this important story about our work.

Did you hear us on ecoWurd? 📻
Charles Ellison, Managing Director of ecoWURD Radio (WURD Radio 96.1FM, 900AM, PA's only Black-owned talk station) recently interviewed Julie Slavet, Executive Director. ecoWURD reports on how environmental issues uniquely impact Black communities, especially in Philadelphia.
