Did you attend the hearing on Aug 17th or are you a
Lumpkin County resident?
Brian and I want to thank all of the wonderful alumni and friends that joined us on Tuesday. It would have been very lonely sitting on our side of the room without you. HUGE THANK YOU to our speakers Karen, Joe, Patrick, Steve, Dean and Bill.
Obviously, we are not giving out tons of details because this is not over. In a nutshell...
- The Commissioners were nice and fair.
- Main complaint: Noise.
- Law: No noise ordinances in Lumpkin.
- Planning & Zoning: All requirements have been met
- We MUST have Lumpkin County residents support! PLEASE please pass the word to any friends you know up here in Lumpkin and ask them to write an email IN SUPPORT OF THE COMPLETE COMBATANT REOPENING THEIR LIVE FIRE RANGE ON PORTER SPRINGS ROAD OR EVEN BETTER, TO COME TO THE MEETING AND SPEAK UP!
- THEY CAN WRITE AN EMAIL: Send to mary.beutel@lumpkincounty.gov
Deadline is Sept. 13th
Please BCC (BLIND COPY) us at thecompletecombatant@gmail.com
TCC. Concessions, respect, and facts on our end. We did tons of research and prep.
THEM. Lies, irrationality, and unbending on their end. They were repetitive and had no facts. BUT, Brian and I respect their complaint.
Commissioners will vote at the next meeting Sept 21.
The Commissioners requested we build a sound barrier. We will present our intentions on the 21st. The sound wall would be an awesome addition to the range but cost will play a big part in the decision process. We are starting a GO FUND ME and your help will be appreciated! With much research over the last few weeks and recent suggestions, we are leaning towards the "man made natural approach" to reducing the sound from the range. DIRT WALLS! Getting estimates now so when the Commissioners say YES, we can move on it immediately.
Mark your calendars!
Come to support us on Tuesday, September 21st, 2021
Arrive 6pm for a 6:30 start
Old Courthouse that is now the Admin Building. Go up the stairs.
99 Courthouse Hill, Dahlonega, GA 30533
We are past the "we are wonderful" stage and down to "the VOTES count" stage. These are elected officials and we invite all Lumpkin County residents to come and speak on our behalf. Simply, "TCC has value and please allow them to continue their training and VOTE a yes". Nothing more is needed.
PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU WILL BE ATTENDING
Thank you sooooo much!
Brian and Shelley
