Jars of Gratitude

Soul Care Blog from Karen Kaigler-Walker, HTC UWFaith Spiritual Growth Coordinator

Thanks to All Donors!

Mission project 2025 We Did It

Thanks to all 2025 Mission Project Donors!

The funds are on their way to Kenya now with so that building the new security fence (a stone wall) will start right away. The wall will help protect them before 'FGM season' when many girls get "The Cut." The season when the girls are most vulnerable starts in December. Your donations are changing lives!

Our 2025 Mission Project Celebration with the Girls at the Jerri Savuto Center on Nov. 1st was a powerful experience for all of us! The Girls living at the Center in Kenya offered prayer, scripture, testimony and a clever "Newscast" telling us about recent developments and our support! HTC UWFaith Officers greeted the girls and shared messages of encouragement, prayers and love for them. We will share the recorded event soon, hopefully next week.

We're looking for a Video Editor to help trim the recording of our Celebration with the Jerri Savuto Girls. Please reply to this email if you can help us!

MORE HAPPENING SOON!

Craft your Story

National United Women in Faith presents...
GET YOUR VOICE HEARD!
Thursday, November 13 11 am - 1 pm CST

Writing your story can shape public opinion, influence the world, and put love into action. Using our collective voices, we can advocate for our social justice priorities, climate justice , ending mass incarceration and criminalization of communities of color. When we learn how to use more tools, we can create unstoppable change together.

Jennifer R. Farmer from Spotlight PR will lead a training on writing opinion essays (op-eds) and LTEs (letters to the editor). We’ll learn the purpose of op-eds and LTEs, effective writing tips, and potential action topics to get you started from our social justice campaigns! Register for this Virtual Event here.
