PLM offers purpose-built parts to support the mainline pipeline construction industry. Maintaining a pipeline focused product line means we have a pipeline focused parts warehouse that stocks the parts you need so that they are readily available when you need them. In addition, the newest generation of Cat Pipelayers have much more commonality when it comes to the cabs, booms, winches, platforms, and engines, just to name a few. This makes it easier for PLM to have in stock common parts.
Know the Process
Understanding, and then working with the processes in place, means PLM is in a position to get your part shipped as quickly as possible.

  • Locate the part. If the part is not in stock, a network of resources is at our disposal to find it.
  • When a machine is not operating, there is a process for ordering parts directly from the manufacture and expediting the order. 
  • Once this process starts, an analyst is assigned to the case. A PLM Parts rep works with the analyst on options for locating the part, with the goal to expedite delivery. 
  • Once the part is shipped, a tracking number is created.
  • Verify with you that the part has been received in good order.
Personalized Service
The PLM parts department will manage the process of your parts needs from beginning to end. First, our parts and product support teams are immersed in this field with a focus on this one industry. This means problem-solving skills, technical knowledge, and experience is all brought to the fore and gets you faster service. A special effort is made to have a good relationship with vendor sources so that when we call them for a part, you have a whole team of knowledgeable personnel going the extra mile just for you.
Follow-up and follow-through are a priority as well. We do not just leave the part order with the vendor source. We personally stay on top of the process until we know that you have received it.
