PCSS Exchange

PCSS-X is a series of courses to guide clinicians practice in treating opioid use disorder. Join any meeting at any time! All sessions, live via Zoom webinar, focus on implementing prescribing medications for treating opioid use disorder in a variety of healthcare settings. The course content is

built around the EPIS (Explore, Prepare, Implement, Sustain) Framework of implementation. The next course is tomorrow, June 25, at 3 p.m. EDT and will highlight organizational and administrative steps and processes to consider when integrating treatment of substance use disorders into your clinical practices and what is needed to develop a system for implementation. PCSS Core Curricula

PCSS has developed two comprehensive courses--focusing on the foundational training that

primary care providers need to guide them through the evidence based practices in the

prevention, identification and treatment of substance use disorders.

SUD 101 was developed by PCSS clinical experts David Fiellin, MD; Michelle Lofwall, MD;

and Larissa Mooney, MD, addiction experts working with a team of healthcare professionals in the development of a curriculum of 22 modules on substance use disorders including:

The PCSS Chronic Pain Core Curriculum was developed by PCSS clinical experts, led by

Roger Chou, MD, FACP and Melissa B. Weimer, DO, MCR, internists specializing in treating

pain and addictions with Addiction Psychiatrists Drs. Kevin Sevarino and Frances Levin. The

14 modules that make up the pain curriculum provide up-to-date and evidence-based

information on safe opioid prescribing practices, alternative for treating pain from opioids, and

the and prevention and treatment of opioid use disorder.

Both courses are designated for 1  AMA PRA Category 1 Credit ™.
