This Week at Good Shepherd
This Sunday is Back to School Sunday: Bring your backpacks for blessing during the 10:30 service, and your Good Shepherd Day School supply donations to either service! Please click here for a full list of supplies the Day School would greatly appreciate! If you would prefer to donate money to the fund for supplies, you can give at this link, go to our website (goodshepherdrmt.org) and click on the button for Day School Supplies on the homepage, or bring a check to church.
Class Sunday! Join us in the Parlor at 9 a.m. for a discussion of "The Seven Last Words" by Father James Martin. Led by Albert Ervin, we will experience the meditations together. (No homework, but if you want, read John 19:30) This week we will explore the 6th Chapter, "Jesus Understands Disappointment" Do join us!
Children's Chapel this week. Children follow the cross after the Collect. Nursery for the very young among us is available. See a greeter for more information.
Please join us for Coffee Hour after the 10:30 service. Coffee, donuts, and good fellowship in the Parish Hall Foyer. And you know who is welcome? You are!!

Choir Rehearsals Begin on September 3rd-- Come sing with us!
Wednesday choir rehearsals will resume on September 3rd.
The Cherub and Alleluia Choirs will rehearse Wednesdays with Cherub Choir starting at 5:00 p.m. and ending at 5:30 p.m. Alleluia Choir rehearsals will begin at 5:15 p.m. and end at 6:15 p.m. The two choirs will rehearse together from 5:15-5:30 p.m.
The Cherub Choir (for children ages three through first grade) learns fundamentals of music and liturgy and sings at the 10:30 a.m. service several times throughout the year, including at the St. Francis Day service, and on Christmas Eve.
The Alleluia Choir (for children in second through eighth grades and first graders with excellent reading ability) learns about music and liturgy and sings at the 10:30 a.m. service several times from September through May, at the St. Francis Day service, at Lessons & Carols, and on Christmas Eve.
The Good Shepherd Choir rehearses on Wednesdays from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. and is open to all adults and high school students. The choir sings at the 10:30 a.m. service each Sunday (with a pre-service rehearsal at 9:45 a.m.), at a few evening services throughout the year, and on Christmas Eve.

Mid-week Eucharist will resume September 3rd at noon. All are invited to attend this service, held in the Sanctuary
Rally Day Sunday Sept. 7 at 10:00 (One Service Sunday Sept. 7!) We will share a common service and roll into a great big party. We’ll take a great big Good Shepherd family picture and have a picnic, with games for all ages. We’re on the lookout for folks who can help us identify some unlabeled
pictures we’ve found in the archives, so please be sure to invite anyone and everyone from Good Shepherd’s past to help us fill in our history and look to our future! This is a great day to invite your kids and grandkids, and folks who have moved away. Vibe
