Collection for Tornado Damage Relief

Last Sunday to Give, May 10!

Dido is collecting funds to go to the people of the Bridgeport area, Springtown, and Mineral Wells who experienced the devastating tornadoes recently. The funds will be given to the Horizon United Methodist Conference who will in turn support disaster relief in those areas through giving to the local United Methodist Churches and disaster relief groups serving those areas.

For May Dido is Collecting Canned Meats such as chicken, tuna, SPAM, Vienna Sausage ...etc.

When you go to the grocery store this month, please think of those who are in need and put a few items in your cart. If you happen to purchase too many of another item we welcome whatever you can give. Thank you ahead of time for all you do to help our community!

The Holy Spirit

May 24 - June 28

You're invited to a new sermon series, “The Holy Spirit,” as we explore how God’s Spirit moves, transforms, guides, and empowers ordinary people for everyday life. Beginning on Pentecost Sunday and continuing through June 28, we’ll look at what it truly means to live Spirit-filled lives as together we long for hope, connection, courage, and belonging.

• May 24 – Pentecost: Spirit Filled (Acts 2:1-11) What does it mean to be filled with the Holy Spirit, and how do we recognize the Spirit at work in us?
• May 31 – Spiritually Connected (Acts 2:42-47) Spirit-filled people don’t live isolated lives—they grow deeply connected to God and one another.
• June 7 – Spirit Led (Romans 8:9-17) How do we learn to follow the Spirit’s leading and experience the life God desires for us?
• June 14 – The Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:16-25) The Spirit changes us from the inside out, producing love, joy, peace, and more. Rev. Mike Love will present the message this Sunday.
• June 21 – Father’s Day: Spiritual Fathers (Romans 8:12-17) The Holy Spirit doesn’t simply make us behave better—The Spirit reminds us that we belong to God as beloved children.
• June 28 – Empowered by the Spirit (Acts 4:29-31) In uncertain times, the Spirit gives courage, boldness, and strength to live faithfully.

Come open your heart to the movement of the Holy Spirit among us.

Study on Zoom of the Effects of a Resurrected Savior

Join Peter, Mary Magdalene, and Thomas as they feel the despair of losing Jesus and the surprise and joy that awaits them in the resurrection. This study traces events around these characters, along with Paul and the disciples at Emmaus, and how the resurrection transforms their lives.

Help Out Dido's Adopted School - Eagle Mountain Elementary!

Dido has adopted Eagle Mountain Elementary and helps them each week with snack packs for food insecure children, clothing and hygiene items for the nurses, provides volunteer help when needed, and adopts families for Christmas. Watch for more info here.
