Ashes to Go in the Park

February 14, 9 am - 11 am

The Trails at Eagle Mountain Park

On Ash Wednesday we confront our own mortality and confess our sins before God and within the community to faith in the light of God's redeeming love in Jesus Christ. Join Dido for the imposition of ashes as we begin Lent well. Since Ash Wednesday is on Valentine's Day and because we want to be a church offering God to our community, we're inviting you to come to the park to receive your ashes and we would also love to have your help placing ashes on foreheads, praying, and delivering flyers about ashes and Lent to folks at Eagle Mountain State Park under the pavilion.

Discipleship in the Gospel of Mark

Ladies' Retreat

February 17, 10 am - 4 pm

Steve Langford (a retired United Methodist Pastor) will share with us the highlights of his book on Mark. The book follows the journey of Jesus' first disciples, tracing how they moved from being blind to being able to see. It unpacks Jesus's teachings to explain what being a follower of Jesus entails. He will describe to us the discipleship journey of moving from how the world trained us to think to living in the ways of God that Jesus taught.
