Holy Thursday Worship

April 2, 6:30 pm

Join us for a sacred and meaningful service as we remember Jesus’ commandment to “love one another” and the first sharing of Holy Communion. Together we will also reflect on His journey to the cross and His sacrificial death. The service will center on readings from the Gospel of John and have a time for participants to nail their "sins" to the cross.

Why Did Jesus Have to Die?

Lenten Bible Study on Zoom

Wednesdays @ 11AM

February 25-April 1

Despite the crucifixion’s central place in Christian faith, the New Testament offers few clear answers about how Jesus’ death saves, or why, exactly, he had to die. The New Testament writers use a host of metaphors―ransom, sacrifice, reconciliation, victory―but never explain exactly how it works or why it had to happen this way.

What if that’s because we’ve been asking the wrong question? What if the cross isn’t a transaction to be explained, but a living Word from God meant to transform who we are and how we live?

Please let Pastor Jana if you would like a copy of the book.

Sermon Series for Lent:

The Jesus Way

February 22 - April 5

Again and again, Jesus invites people not to admire him, but to follow him. To turn around. To walk a different path. Each week, we’ll explore what it means to choose the Jesus Way in a world that often pulls us in the opposite direction.

February 22 - It Begins with Repentance

March 1 - It's Not the Easy Way (Rev. Mike Love)

March 8 - It's Radically Different

March 15 - It's About Love

March 22 - We Lose but Aren't Losers

March 29 - Palm Sunday - It's Unexpected and Misunderstood

April 5 - Easter Sunday - It Leads Through Death to Life

This Lent, you’re invited not just to believe in Jesus—but to choose His way of doing life.
