Join us in Celebrating Pentecost Sunday
This Sunday, we join Christians around the world in celebrating Pentecost—a powerful and joyful moment in our faith. Fifty days after Easter, we remember how the Holy Spirit descended upon the apostles, filling them with boldness, wisdom, and a passion to share the Gospel (Acts 2:1–4). This incredible event is often called the birthday of the Church, because it marks the beginning of the apostles’ public ministry and the spread of the Good News.
Pentecost reminds us that we are not alone—God’s Spirit is with us, guiding, comforting, and empowering us each day. It is a time to reflect on the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives and the unity we share as one body in Christ.
Join us this Sunday as we celebrate this special day together in worship! Our choir will lift their voices in a Spirit-filled musical offering that you won’t want to miss. Let’s gather as a community and welcome the movement of the Holy Spirit in our hearts and in our church.

Annual Conference
June 8 - 7pm Opening Worship @ FUMC Richardson
June 9 & 10 - Conference Sessions @ SMU
Each year, our church joins with others across the Horizon Texas Annual Conference for a meaningful time of learning, discernment, and connection. During this gathering, clergy and laity come together to worship, engage in fellowship, vote on key issues impacting the United Methodist Church, and address matters within our conference.
The opening worship service is always a powerful and inspiring experience—one of the most uplifting services you can attend. We invite anyone interested to join us in Richardson for this special time.
This year, we are proud to have Jana Ono and Lisa Mellott representing our congregation as delegates.

Parsonage For Sale (Maybe)!
Your Administrative Council has discussed the need to sell the church parsonage (the home the pastor of the church usually lives in.)
WHY?
- We are barley coming out even on the rent it is bringing in vs the cost of the upkeep.
- We will lose money if something significant needs replacement or repair.
- The taxes are now at $11,000/yr and continue to increase each year.
- The HOA fees are increasing each year. Our fees and assessments were over $1000 this year.
We have put together a team to look into all the possibilities and will have more information for you soon!
What will we do with the money?
We have not decided. There are restrictions on what a church is able to do with the proceeds from the sale of a property. The money cannot be used toward the current budget or operating expenses. Provisions must be made for future housing needs of a pastor and then the money can be put towards future missional needs of the congregation. Missional needs could mean a new building, fixing up the existing building or other ways our church can make a difference in our community. Your administrative council has discussed an interest in some type of community building such as a gym with classrooms.

Eagle Mountain Elementary News
(Dido's Adopted School)
- We adopted 11 families in 2024 to buy Christmas gifts for. That's 28 children! Thanks for making their Christmas bright!
- We are currently sending 22 snack packs per week to children in need of weekend meals.
- On Feb 20th, our church had the opportunity to bless a local mother of 4 who was recently in an accident, with a $100 Uber gift card to help get her children to and from school. Dido is still providing transportation and prayer for the family.
- As always, if you would like to help the nurse at the school, she is in need of boys and girls underwear (new) in all sizes (especially kindergarten/1st size), gently used stretch waist shorts and pants in all sizes, and feminine products.
