Dido UMC Online Auction is Open!

Join the Choir for our Christmas Session this year!

There are 6 rehearsals included in our Christmas Session this year.

• Rehearsal Dates: Nov. 8, 15, 22, 29 & Dec 6, 13
• Where do the rehearsals take place? - In the church sanctuary
• What Time Are Rehearsals? – Saturday mornings 10:00-11:30

(Please try to arrive 5 – 10 minutes early so we may all start together at 10:00.)

• If I am late to rehearsal, should I just skip it? - No. Come on in anytime you can make it there!

(Early or late, we love you all the same!)

• Do I need to bring anything with me? - Nope. Just your smile and heart for praising God!
• Is Childcare Available? - Yes. Childcare will be available with advance notice.
• Can Anyone Participate? – Yes! Everyone is welcome!
• Do I need to be a super singer to participate? No. If God has put a song in your heart, and you have a desire to sing for Him, that is all that is required.
• Do I need to commit to all 6 rehearsals? - Ideally, yes! We will learn a lot of new songs for our Christmas Choir Concert, so we will need to use each rehearsal in order to prepare. However, if you must miss a rehearsal, don’t let that keep you from being part of our group. You are always welcome!
• When is the Christmas Choir Concert? – Sunday, December 14th. We will meet at 9:30am to warm up. Worship begins at 10:30, and will conclude at 11:30.

Join us as we begin a new Bible study based on Everyday Epiphanies: Meeting Christ in the Ordinary Moments of Life by James Harnish.

Led by our very own Gail Collins, this study invites us to slow down and open our hearts to the ways Christ shows up in the everyday—through conversations, routines, and the quiet in-between moments we often overlook.

Each Wednesday on Zoom, we'll focus on just one chapter, making space for meaningful reflection and discussion as we learn to recognize the sacred in the seemingly small things.

Dido's Annual Golf Tournament

November 1, Scramble at 8 am

Silent Auction Info:

• Online and Proxy Bidding on 32 Auctions begins Saturday, October 26th at 10:30 AM – October 31st at 12:00 PM. In order to bid use the QR code or click HERE.
• In-Person Bidding opens during the tournament on November 1st and will close abour 30 minutes after the last golfer returns to the clubhouse.

We’d love your help after the tournament!

As our golf tournament wraps up, we could use a few extra hands to help clean up and pack things away. If you’re able to stay for a little while after the event, your help would make a big difference!

Parsonage Sold!

As of Wednesday, Oct. 15, Dido's parsonage was sold. The church has placed $397,494 in our bank's designated fund. Eventually that money will be placed in a high yielding fund in the Texas Methodist Foundation which will not only benefit us because of the interest received but will also help many United Methodist churches that are seeking loans and grants to help them grow. Dido is currently forming a group for visioning for the future that will help us decide what we will do with the money we have received from the parsonage sale. 

Thanks so much to all of those who worked tirelessly to accomplish selling the parsonage! 

Fill The Virtual Cart

As you may be aware, millions of people in the state of Texas and thousands within our community will be without the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) beginning November 1. Eagle Mountain ISD along with Community Link have asked those who are able to step up and help. Pastor Jana is asking each family to give 10 items of any kind to our monthly collection for Community Link. The goal is to collect more than we ever have so we can care for as many families as possible. When you go to the grocery store this month, please think of the many individuals who will be hungry and in need without the help of SNAP. Thank you ahead of time for all you do to help our community!

Help Out Dido's Adopted School - Eagle Mountain Elementary!

Dido has adopted Eagle Mountain Elementary and helps them each week with snack packs for food insecure children, clothing and hygiene items for the nurses, provides volunteer help when needed, and adopts families for Christmas. Watch for more info here.
