Researchers in a study from Frontiers in Nutrition examined the association between multivitamin supplementation and clinical outcomes in cardiac arrest patients. Patients receiving multivitamin supplementation had significantly higher survival rates for both in-hospital and 28-day mortality.
The authors suggest using multivitamins as adjunctive therapy in post-cardiac arrest care.

40th Anniversary Timeline and Tribute
It started out with humble beginnings. When Bonnie finished her masters degrees, the general public's opinion of nutrition was tepid to say the least. Some people close to her openly laughed at the preposterous notion that this would be her career. No matter. In 1985, Nutritional Concepts was incorporated (story continues at this page).

Steve: I write frequently about inflammation. It is derived from many things we experience in daily living, but it starts with the foods we eat and the beverages we drink. A study from Nutrition Reviews elucidates the importance of managing your dietary acid load.
Simply, the authors discovered that the higher acid-forming potential of one's diet, the higher risk of type 2 diabetes and overall cancer.
The ideal is to strive for a 60/40 alkaline/acid ratio with your foods and beverages. However, that is very difficult to achieve with modern living. If you could achieve 50/50, that would still be very good.
To reduce your acid load, you must first remove ultra-processed foods, added sugars, artificial sweeteners, artificial colors and flavors, preservatives, and eat organic whenever possible. Beyond that, you should seek advice from knowledgable health professionals, such as ourselves, to pinpoint what other foods may be contributing to your dietary acid load. There are foods and beverages that you wouldn't believe lead to inflammation!
