Fulbright Grantees Embark on Adventures Abroad

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program has awarded grants to six CMU alumni, including four who pursued majors in Dietrich College. Congratulations to Maegan Bogetti, Ian Daugherty, Eliza Hallinan and Joshua Pinckney.

Boyd Receives Gretchen Goldsmith Lankford Award

Morgan Boyd, a 2023 graduate of the Department of Psychology, has received the Gretchen Goldsmith Lankford Award, which recognizes a student with exceptional academic achievement who plans to pursue graduate studies in education. This award is granted annually to one graduating senior in Dietrich College.

Organizing for Change

Vivian Chang (DC 2013) began her studies at CMU as a Sciences and Humanities Scholar, where she received degrees from Dietrich College and Mellon College of Science. Today, she empowers Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) workers.

Phi Beta Kappa Inducts Dietrich Students from Class of 2023

CMU’s chapter of Phi Beta Kappa has inducted 54 students, 15 of whom are affiliated with the Dietrich College.

  • Join the L.A. Network on July 3 for the Pirates vs. Dodgers game at 7 p.m., Dodger Stadium. Register for the event


  • Join an outdoor hike on July 9 at Sanborn County Park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Saratoga, California. Register for the event.


  • Join the kayak and lobster fest on July 15 at Island Beach State Park, New Jersey, from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Space is limited so register early.


  • Seattle alumni, parents and friends are welcome at T-Mobile Park on July 15 for the Mariners vs. Tigers game, beginning at 6:40 p.m. Register for the event.

 

  • Pittsburgh-area Tartans, come on down to watch the Pirates vs. Giants game on July 15 at 7 p.m. and enjoy the fireworks afterward. Register for the event.


  • Join the Clambake Comeback on Cape Cod on Sunday, July 16 beginning at noon in Wareham, Massachusetts. Register for the event.



  • Alumni Events: From cherished in-person Carnegie Mellon traditions to virtual learning experiences with researchers at the cutting-edge of their fields, CMU offers a variety of events for alumni to connect with each other and the university, expand their knowledge and networking opportunities, and make cherished memories together.
