Kaytie Nielsen — a 2016 graduate of the Bachelor of Humanities and Arts Program — is the fourth CMU student to earn the highly selective international Marshall Scholarship, which funds up to two years of graduate study in the United Kingdom.

The stepping stones to a successful career, internships are a pivotal part of the student experience. Sophomores in the Dietrich College of Humanities and Social Sciences recently had the opportunity to sit down with alumni to gain insight on the internship experience.

Carnegie Mellon University’s  Maralee Harrell  has won the  2018 Prize for Excellence in Philosophy Teaching , an honor jointly awarded by the American Philosophical Association (APA), the American Association of Philosophy Teachers (AAPT) and the Teaching Philosophy Association (TPA).

Kevin Jarbo (DC 2018) has been selected as one of six new President’s Postdoctoral Fellows. Jarbo is a fellow in the Department of Social and Decision Sciences (SDS), working with SDS Department Head Linda Babcock and the Department of Psychology's Kody Manke. Jarbo received his Ph.D. in psychology with a certificate in cognitive neuroscience from the Center of the Neural Basis of Cognition.
