New Study Links COVID-19 Infection Rates to Urban Greening
Last month, ABC7 News reported on the San Francisco Estuary Institute's "first of its kind" study that linked COVID-19 infection rates and exposure to green spaces in 17 US states that tracked COVID cases by zip code.

ABC's article highlights how the findings of this study connected communities of color to higher COVID-19 outcomes and less vegetation and trees in certain neighborhoods, explaining that after accounting for variables like race, income, and density, even a modest increase in greening lowered COVID-19 lowered rates by about 4%.
