Following the letter from the bishop, we are thoughtfully exploring how All Saints Church can begin to gather again. Most importantly, we are seeking God's guidance in these decisions. Would you please take 5 minutes to complete this survey?

The Preschool is holding a Virtual Raffle in lieu of their "Zoom-A-Thon" fundraiser. They  are still hoping to raise funds for our 2019-2020 school improvement project, "Sprucing up the Rain Room". In order to do this, we are raising money through donations to our virtual Zoom-a-thon, happening May 16th, as well as holding a virtual raffle for class-donated gift baskets. For the next week, beginning Sunday May 10th, you will have the opportunity to fill out the following form to bid on gift baskets. The raffle will close on May 16th at midnight. If you have any questions, please click here to email Julia Whritenour, one of the parent volunteers organizing this event.

Outreach Updates

Because of the critical impact the grocery cards and Feeding the Saints ministries are having, we will continue collecting any and all donations for those ministries. In addition, starting this coming Monday we will start three new avenues of outreach.

In the preschool portico we will have three separate bins. To continue observing social distancing needs and keeping everyone safe, these bins are located outside but in a secure area.

Canned Goods - for the local food banks that are being challenged with a significant increase in demand. Because the bin will be outside with a lid, we kindly ask that food only be in metal containers or sturdy packaging (nothing an animal can tear into).

Morale and Welfare - for collecting new or gently used board games, card games, or other activities a family can enjoy together. We are also asking for donations of toiletries such as hand lotions, toothpaste, toothbrushes, mouth wash, etc.

Encouragement - for collecting letters. With the demands and stresses of this pandemic comes the risk of depression and loneliness. Children and seniors during this time are especially vulnerable to feelings of isolation and loss of self-worth. We are beginning a campaign of writing letters of encouragement and thank you cards to the wider community. These cards will be distributed around the community to hospital workers, first responders, shut-ins, children at homes of the underserved, etc.  These cards can be handmade or store bought. Hopefully this can be an activity your children and/or an entire family can do together. They don't have to be elaborate, just a simple message from the heart (of course, who doesn't love a good piece of homemade artwork). Some sample suggestions may include - "The parishioners at All Saints Episcopal Church are thinking of you because you are not forgotten," or "Thank you for everything you are doing to help others during these extremely difficult times." Please leave cards without envelopes or in unsealed envelopes so that the message can be matched with an appropriate recipient.

** Please note: Except for Saturday and Sunday, these three bins will be checked and emptied routinely throughout the week.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to consider ways you can help continue this outreach as we all seek to serve and grow in Christ. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact The Rev. John Hogg, Warren Hunter, or Kelly Vidunas

Blessings,
Your Outreach Committee
