Special Edition: January 24, 2023

Dear MES Parents,

Registration for this year’s MES Family Science Night is now OPEN!

Can I get a robot to clean my room? Do I have a popular first name? How are big heavy airplanes able to stay up in the sky? Find out the answers to all of these questions and more at MES's Family Science Night!

Family Science Night is an evening of entertaining and informative STEAM-filled sessions hosted by volunteer professionals in the community. Family Science Night sessions provide the entire family with hands-on exposure to science and we encourage all students (and their parents, caregivers, siblings) to attend! We look forward to offering MES another fun night of diverse scientific explorations to engage budding learners of all types.

Family Science Night is back in person this year, spread out over two nights by grade level:

  • Grades K-2: Wednesday, Feb 15th, 2023, 6-8 PM, MES at Inman
  • Grades 3-5: Thursday, Feb 16th, 2023, 6-8 PM, MES at Inman

To kick off each night, we're bringing back the Spectacular Science Showcase which will start things off in the MES@Inman auditorium. Each family will then attend three 20-minute, hands-on sessions, exposing family members to a deep-dive into various scientific topics. Parents, caregivers, and siblings are encouraged to attend.

Registration is now open!

In order to ensure that presenters have sufficient time to prepare their materials, we are asking for everyone that is interested in attending to please register in advance. You can explore the list of hands-on STEAM sessions in our 2023 Session Line-Up and tell us the ones that interest you most when you register. After registration closes, you'll get a ticket to bring with you on the night of the event, showing you which three sessions to attend.

Please don't delay - registration ends January 30th!
